We are seeking a creative and proactive Media and Communications Officer to support the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference’s communications and engagement activities across traditional media, digital media and social media platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating engaging content, developing communications campaigns and helping to share the work and mission of the Catholic Church in Australia with diverse audiences.
The Role
As the Media and Communications Officer, you will:
- Create compelling media, digital and social media content that supports the mission and priorities of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference.
- Manage the Conference’s social media presence, including content planning, community engagement and performance reporting.
- Design and deliver multimedia, graphic design and communications campaigns across a range of platforms and audiences.
- Support major communications projects and provide communications advice and support across the Conference.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Experience creating engaging content across social media, digital and traditional media channels.
- Excellent written communication skills, creativity and strong attention to detail.
- Graphic design and multimedia content creation skills, supported by proficiency in relevant communications technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Office suite, the Adobe Creative Suite, G-Suite and electronic newsletter platforms.
- An ability to build productive relationships with diverse stakeholders and a willingness to work within the mission and identity of the Catholic Church.
Salary: $95,000+ 12% super.
