About the role
Mercy Community are on the search for a Mission Officer on a Permanent Full-Time basis. Your role will be based at our Nudgee Corporate Offices. The primary responsibility of the role is the development and ongoing support of the Mercy Community Volunteers Network.
The Mission Officer is a key stakeholder in ensuring the Gospel values, Catholic social teaching, the charism of Mercy, and Mission and Values of Mercy Community are embedded in all aspects of the practices within facilities; ensuring that the day-to-day operations promote a person-centred practice and faith-filled environment.
 Your role involves but not limited to –Â
- Â The development and delivery of Mission Induction to new staff and the ongoing Mission formation of existing staff
- Â Reconciliation Action plan development and implementation
- Ensuring the Catholic identity and Mercy Values of the organisation
- Foster a workplace culture which respects human dignity, addresses the needs of the vulnerable and disadvantaged, and protects human rights
About you
- Experience in developing resources, delivering training and network development
- Qualifications in Catholic theology and related disciplines
- Availability to work with reasonable flexibility as required in response to needs, in consultation with the EGM Mission
