YOUR ROLE
The Mission Partner is a newly created role supporting the Catholic Mission and Identity (CMI) Team as MACS undergoes strategic transformation under its 2030 vision. This role is designed to support the Catholic Mission and Identity across a range of faith formation, evangelisation, and school improvement initiatives that strengthen Catholic identity in schools. This role would suit a applicant with a background in theology or religious education, experienced in program design and stakeholder engagement. The Catholic Mission and Identity is focussed on MACS’s evangelising mission by fostering discipleship, shaping faith leadership, and embedding Catholic values across educational initiatives.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Deliver high-quality faith formation programs by designing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives for school leaders, staff, students, and families across the MACS network.
- Work collaboratively with the Catholic Mission and Identity team to embed the MACS Faith Formation Framework into school practices and system-wide professional learning.
- Manage partnerships with parishes and external faith-based organisations to strengthen school-parish collaboration and support evangelisation initiatives.
- Organise targeted support for priority schools by contributing to school review processes, customised improvement plans, and discipleship-focused learning strategies.
- Coordinate the development and dissemination of liturgical and sacramental resources in alignment with MACS policies and Archdiocesan guidance.
- Engage with data and research to inform program design and ensure continuous improvement in faith formation and Catholic identity outcomes.
ABOUT YOU
- You have a strong understanding of and genuine enthusiasm for the mission of Catholic education and the role of faith formation in school communities.
- You hold a degree in Theology, Religious Education or a related field, with experience delivering impactful formation programs across varied audiences.
- You are a skilled collaborator and communicator, confident in working with school leaders, staff, and external partners to achieve shared goals.
- You demonstrate strategic thinking and reflective practice, using data and research to inform program development and drive continuous improvement.
- You are self-directed, adaptable, and proactive, thriving in both independent and team-based environments.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office tools and hold a current Victorian Driver’s License to support school and community engagement.
Salary range for this position is $117,064 (EO1) – $137,125 (EO5) per annum exclusive of superannuation as specified in the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022.
