Job Description

Marist Schools Australia is seeking a contemporary and engaging Catholic person who has experience in education. The role is responsible for coordinating and animating Marist identity, spirituality, and
formation services for staff and students in Marist schools nationally and young adults, and the Marist Association of Saint Marcellin Champagnat in Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia.

This role will involve networking opportunities with Marist school leaders across the region. The role will also provide opportunities to develop the successful applicant’s leadership and management skills.

Commencement date is negotiable but no later than 19 January 2026. This is a fulltime position based in Melbourne.

To be considered for this position, you will:

  • understand and demonstrate a willingness to support the ethos, mission, and values of Marist Schools Australia
  • have a strong personal faith lived out in a community of the Catholic Church
  • possess a good understanding of contemporary Catholic youth ministry and adult faith formation
  • have demonstrated experience in leading formation with school staff
  • have demonstrated experience in working with young people (aged between 12 and 25) in an evangelising context, and is energised by such ministry
  • demonstrate experience in designing and conducting retreat programs, workshops, and events, solidarity immersions, and pilgrimages
  • have proficiency in computer software used in digital office environment, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • possess strong self-initiative and an ability to work with limited supervision
  • be able to make effective use of adult learning strategies
  • be flexible in approach to working hours and open to domestic travel across Australia
  • be resilient, show initiative, and can work independently
