About the role
Mercy Community are on the search for a Pastoral Care Manager on a Permanent Full Time. The will be based at our Leinster Place Residential Aged Care Facility. Come join our team and support our residents and their families.
 The Pastoral Care Manager has oversight of the local Residential Aged Care Pastoral Care Team, providing care and support to residents and, where appropriate, to residents’ families and facility staff to meet their pastoral and spiritual needsÂ
Your role involves but not limited to –
- Lead and manage all aspects of pastoral, spiritual, sacramental and liturgical services within local residential aged care.
- Liaise with external chaplains from relevant faith traditions as required to facilitate the provision of services.
- In collaboration with the EGM Mission, contribute to case conferences, palliative and end of life care, and advance care planning including support and guidance to residents and families.
- Foster a workplace culture which respects human dignity, addresses the needs of the vulnerable and disadvantaged, and protects human rights.
 About you
- Demonstrated commitment to, and knowledge and understanding of, the principles of Catholic teaching, the Catholic liturgical and spiritual tradition and approach to ecumenism.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a small team
- A completed CPE or equivalent.
- Completed or prepared to undertake relevant study in Pastoral Care, Counselling, Catholic Theology
