The Board of Trustees of Campion College Australia, a Catholic liberal arts higher education institution of national reputation, invites applications for the position of President.
For more than a decade, Campion has benefited from the steady and faithful leadership of its outgoing president, under whose tenure the college has experienced significant growth in reputation, institutional stability, student numbers, and its beautiful campus. The Board seeks a leader who will continue to advance the College’s mission and ensure its continued growth and strength for future generations.

Founded in 2006, Campion College is Australia’s first higher education institution dedicated to the liberal arts. A Catholic institution, Campion College is faithful to the Church’s mission as expressed by the Magisterium and to the promotion of the western intellectual tradition. The Role of the President
The President of Campion College, reporting to the Board of Trustees, serves as the chief executive officer of the institution. The President is responsible for:
- Safeguarding and advancing the Catholic mission and identity of the college and preserving its mission as first and foremost providing a foundational undergraduate baccalaureate degree in the liberal arts integrating the insights of faith and reason.
- Providing academic and administrative leadership that fosters excellence in teaching, scholarship, and student formation.
- Ensuring prudent stewardship of financial resources and strategic planning for long-term sustainability.
- Actively engage and lead fundraising, for both capital and operating purposes.
- Oversee student recruitment.
- Building strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, alumni, donors, and the wider Church and society.
- Representing the college to the broader academic, civic, and ecclesial communities.
- Leading Campion to ultimate accreditation as a University College and developing the postgraduate qualifications offered, that are in keeping with the liberal arts and Catholic identity that is at the core of the College’s mission.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
- Be a practicing Catholic with a deep understanding of and commitment to its teachings.
- Possess a record of distinguished leadership in higher education, administration, or related fields.
- Demonstrate an appreciation for the Catholic intellectual tradition and the value of a liberal arts education.
- Exhibit exceptional skills in communication, collaboration, and institutional advancement.
- Bring integrity, wisdom, and a proven capacity for strategy and effective management.
- Hold suitable academic and professional qualifications for a role of this nature.
