As Townsville’s newest Catholic primary school, St Benedict’s Catholic School, Shaw offers a rare opportunity for an inspiring educational leader to shape a thriving, modern learning community. We deliver an exceptional standard of education, equipping students to achieve their full potential through tailored, supportive learning approaches and vibrant extracurricular programs.
We seek a collaborative Principal who will foster academic excellence. Drawing direction from Catholic traditions, your leadership will reflect the grace and dignity of St Benedict—a peace-loving leader whose example guides us to honour ‘God in all of life.’
If you are a dedicated leader focused on building strong school-family partnerships and empowering every unique student to flourish, we invite you to guide our school into a dynamic future.

About you
With proven leadership experience and a deep commitment to Catholic education, you demonstrate the ability to develop and mentor others within a professional learning culture. You’ll also lead continuous improvement and innovation, using data-informed practice to strengthen teaching, learning and student outcomes.
You’ll bring authentic faith leadership as an active member of a Catholic Eucharistic community, together with full accreditation to teach Religious Education and registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
