Job Description

St Brigid’s School, Kilburn, is seeking an inspiring and dedicated leader to join the vibrant community as the School Principal. We’re looking for a leader to help deliver excellence, foster a sense of community, make an impact on the lives of our students and uphold the charism of the Daughters of Our Lady of Sacred Heart.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive excellence in teaching and learning, ensuring high-quality educational outcomes for all students.
  • Foster deep relationships with the parish and ensure that all students and families encounter the Catholic faith.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and supports the growth and well-being of students from all backgrounds.
  • Respond to the needs of the community and build a welcoming community where those at the margins are embraced and supported.
  • Embody and promote the Catholic faith, making explicit the charism of the Daughters of Our Lady of Sacred Heart.
  • Enable students to witness faith in action to become leaders for the world God desires.

About you

  • Be an active member of a Catholic Eucharistic community.
  • Hold a valid teaching qualification and relevant post-graduate qualification in Education or related field.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of curriculum design, assessment strategies, student agency and wellbeing.
  • Strong understanding of English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence through consultation and collaboration.
  • Proven ability to lead inclusive teaching and learning practices in multicultural communities.
