Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to our Programs Manager, this role is vital for monitoring our partners and their projects in Australia, and the Pacific (50%), engaging with Managed Fund Partners and In Australia projects (30%) and supporting internal stakeholders and contributing to fundraising initiatives, including Major Gifts, Socktober, and parish engagement (20%). Your role will include, but is not limited to:

Monitoring our partners and projects in Australia, the Pacific which involves:

  • Managing strategic long-term partnerships;
  • Designing, managing, and monitoring results-based programs;
  • Accompanying and building capacity of our partners;
  • When possible, onsite monitoring of projects by visiting (up to two-week visits for up to 3 months each year).

Managing the Managed Fund (MF) and In Australia (IA) portfolios by:

  • Coordinating and managing MF and IA projects in line with organisational priorities and funding requirements.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with MF Partners (MFP) and IA stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and assessing funding proposals against program objectives, compliance requirements, and community needs.
  • Monitoring project performance, including delivery against objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory, financial, and organisational policies.

Support Community Engagement and stakeholder engagement by:

  • Assisting Philanthropy Officers (PhOs) and internal stakeholders in the Major Gifts space through project information, budgets, and reporting.
  • Contributing to Socktober and parish engagement activities, including presentations and donor interactions.
  • Responding to stakeholder enquiries and communicating program impact and outcomes.
  • Supporting alignment between program delivery and fundraising priorities.

 

ABOUT YOU

To excel in this role, you will:

  • Have a proven track record of forging successful partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be degree-qualified, with ideally 1 – 2 years of international development
  • Be a team player who is well organised, able to multi-task and work independently, effectively and efficiently under time pressure with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Have good problem-solving (using the strengths-based approach) and basic finance administration skills as well as a proven ability to relate to partners who have mixed levels of competency in English.
  • Have good awareness of cross-cultural and gender sensitivity.
  • Adapt to dynamic circumstances quickly and respond with
  • Have excellent written and verbal English communication skills, and the ability to produce high quality work.
  • You must be eligible to work in Australia.
