About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Quality and Risk, the Quality Manager works collaboratively with the Director to satisfy regulatory requirements relevant to the provision of education. You will provide leadership and guidance in developing and implementing institutional quality assurance and continuous improvement practices, particularly in relation to monitoring, review and improvement per the Higher Education Standards Framework.
You will manage the Excelsia’s Document Management System in relation to governance, registration, accreditation, and transition to university status, as required under legislation, and facilitate and contribute to quality assurance in internal and external audits, benchmarking, and quality processes for continuous improvement and reporting purposes.
As a key member of staff within the Quality Department, you will represent the Department in the broader life of the Excelsia, influence and shape organisation decision making that upholds quality assurance, and ensure sound decision making and robust governance across the various governing bodies and workstreams.
At the heart of this role will be your ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and department heads as it relates to Excelsia’s vision, mission and values, and to champion compliance in all matters relating to governance, auditing, reporting, Excelsia’s transition to university status, benchmarking and continuous improvement.
This position is a full-time, 1 year fixed-term appointment and based at Pennant Hills. Parking is available onsite, and the office is close to public transport.
Key Requirements
The Quality Manager will ideally possess the following knowledge, experience and qualifications:
- A committed Christian involved in a local congregation, and one who is aligned to the mission and values of Excelsia University College.
- Tertiary qualifications in an area that is relevant to this role.
- Extensive experience working in a Quality Assurance role or equivalent.
- A good understanding of quality assurance systems, and the ability to provide leadership in the maintenance and documentation of standards and systems.
- Familiarity with the legislative framework of Australian higher education, and confidence in communicating with the staff of regulatory authorities.
- Advanced computer skills including a strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe, and technological literacy with proficiency in database management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and data sets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to continuing professional development.
- Excellent skills in written communication, and demonstrated experience in reviewing and writing reports, submissions and policy documents.
- Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability in proofreading, fact checking and quality assurance.
