The RoleÂ
We are looking for proactive, collaborative, and forward-thinking Risk and Compliance Manager to join our team. Working closely with the CEO, executive team, and stakeholders across our network of Victorian schools, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting EREA VSL’s commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.Â
Reporting to the Director, Safeguarding, the incumbent will be responsible for enterprise risk management strategy and initiatives, business continuity planning, corporate assurance and complaints management. There will also be a requirement to work in conjunction with the Board’s Risk and Child Safety Committee to ensure effective governance through the preparation of reports and advice on practice improvements, risk identification and early interventions.Â

You will be employed on a fixed-term basis, for a period of 2 years.Â
The remuneration for the role is within the range of $150,000 to $160,000, plus leave loading and superannuation, depending on skills, education and experience.Â
You will need Â
- Tertiary Qualifications in risk management, public policy or a relevant disciplineÂ
- Extensive experience in the identification, assessment and management of strategic and operational risk, assurance and compliance functions, preferably in education settings. Â
- Expertise in applying the principles of organisational risk management to the International Standard for Risk Management (AS/NZS ISO 31000:2018).Â
- Understanding of legislative and regulatory environments for schools including compliance associated with the Minimum Standards.Â
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills Â
- Demonstrated leadership experience in effectively working with critical stakeholders at Executive, Committee and operational levels including regulatory and other representative bodies.Â
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and provide a National Police Check certificate (issued within the last six months) or Victorian Institute of Teaching RegistrationÂ
