CATHOLIC EDUCATION OFFICE, BERRIMAH
FULL-TIME | REMUNERATION PACKAGE $220,000 P.A. INCLUDING BASE SALARY $ 186,361 P.A. | INITIAL 5 YEAR CONTRACT | COMMENCING IN JANUARY 2025

Catholic Education NT is seeking a passionate and experienced Catholic Educational Leader to join the Catholic Education Office Executive team as School Improvement Partner as we embark on a journey of growth and improvement.

About us:

CENT includes a network of 18 schools in the Northern Territory (five colleges, seven primary schools, one flexible learning centre and five remote schools), Early Learning Centres and the Catholic Education head office (CEO) located in Berrimah.

The Role:

Through the delegated authority of the Director – the SChools Improvement Partner (SCIP) is responsible and accountable in partnership with school leaders for delivering improved school quality and performance. The SCIP will support the school with its strategic directions and complex operational demands and be proactive in monitoring and promoting the wellbeing of school leaders.

Essential Criteria:

The School Improvement Partner is a highly experienced educator with demonstrated achievement, leadership and professional capacity in the following areas:

  • Demonstrate and foster in others a commitment to the vision and mission of Catholic Education and be able to articulate an understanding of contemporary issues in the Catholic Church. The successful applicant will be able to evidence regular participation in a Catholic Eucharistic Community.
  • Successful Principalship in Catholic Education, holding necessary understanding to work across the range of school settings, Early Years to Year 12.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in managing teams to drive system performance and strategic directions and priorities at an organisational level.
  • A sound knowledge of the policy landscape, governance requirements and legislation relevant to the non-government education sector.
  • Ability to provide educational leadership which is responsive to local context, and which also engages with contemporary issues in education and evidence-based practices.
  • Outstanding skills in communication, relationship building and conflict resolution.
  • Tertiary qualifications in education, ideally at least at a Masters Level.
  • Registration with the TRB NT will be a requirement for appointment.

This position involves working with children. The appointment of the successful applicant will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment with legislation.
