Job Description
YOUR ROLE
The Senior Advisor, Faith Leadership is a newly established and strategic position within the Catholic Mission and Identity (CMI) directorate. The role is designed to advance theological and Catholic leadership formation across Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS). In this capacity, you will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of innovative formation programs that support principals, senior leaders, and staff in deepening their capacity for faith leadership, aligned with the MACS Faith Formation Framework and the MACS 2030 Strategic Vision.
You will offer expert strategic advice to enhance school leadership in mission, support accreditation pathways, and contribute to system-wide strategies that drive school improvement through a Catholic lens. With a strong foundation in Catholic theology, educational leadership, and project management, the successful candidate will play a key role in fostering faith-informed leadership across MACS schools.
Working in close collaboration with colleagues across CMI and broader MACS teams, you will contribute to building vibrant learning communities grounded in Gospel values and responsive to the evangelising mission of the Church. This is an ideal role for a passionate and visionary leader committed to enriching Catholic identity and formation in contemporary educational settings.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Collaborate with MACS directorates, parishes, and Archdiocesan partners to foster integration of liturgical, theological, and faith formation initiatives.
- Contribute to CMI projects that promote Catholic identity, evangelisation, and mission-informed school improvement.
ABOUT YOU
- A practicing Catholic, actively engaged in a Eucharistic community with a clear commitment to the evangelising mission of the Church and Catholic education.
- Extensive experience in Catholic educational leadership with a sound understanding of the formation and professional needs of principals, senior leaders, and staff.
- Strong theological, liturgical, or religious education background with the capacity to translate these insights into impactful formation and leadership development programs.
- Proven project and change management skills, with a track record of designing and delivering strategic, mission-aligned initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build trusted relationships across multiple levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, apply evidence-informed practices, and deliver results in a dynamic, values-driven environment
