Job Description

  • Work collaboratively to promote a culture of health, wellbeing and ongoing formation

Manage the provision of support to portfolio coordinators, including the development and delivery of structures that will assist those who lead health, wellbeing, and formation programs for the clergy of Melbourne.

About the opportunity  

The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support, including the opportunity to take ownership of the development and delivery of structures to enhance program delivery.

This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a hybrid model of work, a dedicated team to collaborate with and the opportunity to make a difference every day.

 

Key Responsibilities of the role

  • Provide high-level executive assistance to Clergy Life and Ministry Portfolio Coordinators
  • Take a proactive approach by developing systems and structures to improve efficiency and facilitate timely planning and coordination of Clergy Life and Ministry projects
  • Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of a policy and procedures framework to enhance the operations and effectiveness of the Clergy Life and Ministry Office, its activities and outreach.
  • Oversee the development and monitoring of the calendar of activities, including scheduling of stakeholder and committee meetings to support planning processes.
  • Provide leadership to the Clergy Life and Ministry Administration Assistant

 

About you

You have an awareness of, and appreciation for, the identity and mission of the Catholic Church in Melbourne and of Catholic social teaching.  You are experienced in high level administration and possess a sound knowledge of administrative systems, processes, and procedures.

  • You have a strong ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality while exercising judgement, sensitivity and discretion.
  • You are well experienced in policy development and have excellent writing skills.
  • These skills are demonstrated via a high degree of proficiency within the MS Office suite, in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
