About the opportunity

The Discipleship Specialist – Young Adults plays a key role in the Proclaim Team, supporting Catholic communities across Melbourne to foster a culture of missionary discipleship among young adults.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support parishes and communities in reaching and discipling young adults
• Identify and equip local missionary leaders in young adult ministry
• Empower and accompany CAM leadership in discipling young adults
• Develop resources, training, and initiatives that enable young adult discipleship in various parish and community settings
• Create an engaging environment where young adults encounter Christ and grow as missionary disciples

About You:

• You have, or are working toward a tertiary qualification in theology, religious education, ministry or a related field
• You have demonstrated experience in youth and/or young adult ministry
• You have a strong personal faith and a heart for mission
• You have an understanding of discipleship models in a Catholic context
