The Sisters of Our Lady of Sion are dedicated to fostering a contemporary
understanding of our charism through Jewish-Christian relations and social justice.
We aim to deepen the appreciation of our mission in the life of the Church and
beyond.  We are seeking to employ a Formation and Dialogue Lead to join the Formation and Dialogue Team.

Role Overview

To work collaboratively with the Director of Forma on and Dialogue to animate and deepen
appreciation and understanding of the Sion charism, its history, and its contemporary
expression. Through forma on and dialogue, grounded in Sion’s shared stories and
experiences, and in a love of the Bible, Jewish-Christian and interfaith dialogue, and work for
justice and peace, the Formation & Dialogue Lead will support the ongoing expression of the
Sion charism in contemporary life and ministry.

To work collaboratively with the Director of Formation and Dialogue to animate and deepen

Sion charism in contemporary life and ministry.

Position Responsibilities:
1. Working as a member of the Formation and Dialogue Team to design and facilitate
formation programs and experiences.
2. Collaborating with key stakeholders in designing and developing resources,
publications, and communications to support formation in the Sion charism.
3. Participating in, promoting and supporting opportunities for Jewish-Christian and
interfaith accompaniment, education, dialogue and shared action.
4. Maintaining and developing relationships with Church bodies and engaging with
Church documents related to the work of the team.
5. Collaborating with the wider Family of Sion to promote, support, and further shared
initiatives.
6. Participating in the CRMV Formation Network and other appropriate networks.
7. Engaging in ongoing education, formation, professional development and
supervision to deepen understanding of the charism, dialogue and formation.
8. Other duties as assigned by the Director, Formation and Dialogue.

Requirements

An ability to work collaboratively with our partners and as an effective team member.
• Experience in adult education, including leading formation programs or facilitating in a
creative, engaging, culturally sensitive manner.
• Experience in designing, developing, editing, and collating resources for both formation
and publication is essential. Additionally, some experience with digital publication is highly
desirable.
• Experience in working dialogically, emphasising the importance of listening, empathy,
respect and openness to change.
• The ability to communicate and interact effectively with people across cultures, ranges of
ability, genders, ethnicities, and faith traditions, particularly Judaism.
• A commitment to action dedicated to promoting justice, human rights, and dignity for
every individual and within the community of creation.
• Willingness to complete Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness/cultural
competency training through NATSICC.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, be a self-motivator, and handle workload
efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication, presentations, administration, and IT
skills.
