A well-established, values-driven organisation dedicated to supporting the care and wellbeing of older people is seeking a highly organised and compassionate Personal Assistant to support the Director, Health & Aged Care, while providing tailored support to a community of elderly individuals.
This is a unique opportunity to combine high-level administration with purposeful, people-centred support in a role grounded in dignity, respect and service.
About the role
In this diverse and rewarding role, you will:
- Provide high-level administrative and coordination support to the Director, Health & Aged Care
- Act as a key point of contact for older individuals requiring assistance with health, wellbeing and personal matters
- Coordinate and manage interactions with external services including healthcare providers, Centrelink, insurers and financial institutions
- Support with appointments, travel arrangements, insurance, documentation and personal affairs
- Maintain accurate and confidential records, databases and filing systems
- Prepare correspondence, reports, meeting minutes and presentations
- Assist in organising events, meetings and programs
- Build strong, trusting relationships with stakeholders internally and externally
About you
You are a proactive and adaptable professional who is comfortable working with sensitive information and diverse needs. You will bring:
- Proven minimum 5+ years’ experience in administration, personal assistant or coordination roles
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence working with government systems and service providers (e.g. Medicare, Centrelink, insurance)
- A high level of discretion, confidentiality and emotional intelligence
- A caring, patient and respectful approach when supporting older people
- Valid Working with Children and National Police Check are both required
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365
- A current driver’s licence
