About the Role

This is a new opportunity created to ensure quality of care is provided to the Marist Brothers living in community in their own home – Marcellin House, Randwick.

Reporting to the Director of Health and Aged Care, the Registered Nurse Manager works closely with a team of Nursing staff and Carers to provide 24-hour clinical care to the Brothers living in community in this 16-bed home. You will provide the team direction, guidance and support, ensuring quality service is provided to the Brothers living in community and to ensure the Marist Brothers Star of the Sea Province (Province) is meeting its short- and long-term care objectives.

You work collaboratively with the Director of Health and Aged Care and the Community Leader and the health team to ensure a coordinated and proactive response to changing health needs of the Brothers. You will be guided by the policies, procedures and protocols of the Marist Province’s model of care, and this will ensure the Brothers receive quality health and age care support which is planned, delivered, monitored and reviewed in a manner that reflects best practice.

You will serve as the key liaison to the Director of Health and Aged Care, Community Leader, Health and Aged Care Coordinators, health staff, family of residents, allied health professionals and other members of the care team to facilitate the Brothers’ optimum care.

Key to this role will be your ability to foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure they are actively upholding safeguarding responsibilities appropriate to their role and authority.

The role is a full-time role and based in Randwick. Onsite parking is available. Access to a car for work purposes is available.  Some metropolitan travel will be required.

About You

Ideally, we are interested in people who meet the following Key Requirements:

  • An understanding of and a commitment to the mission of the Marist Brothers.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing.
  • Experience working in an aged health care facility and/or Aged Care Community setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Aged Care Act November 2025, Work Health and Safety legislation and relevant legislative requirements under the relevant health Acts.
  • Current Government issued driver’s licence.
  • Experience in a similar role of management responsibilities.
  • Ability to deal with and establish good working/harmonious relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent, demonstrated and proven knowledge of computer technologies and programs.
  • Flexible approach in regard to duties and hours and the ability to manage workloads and priorities to meet deadlines.
