Mary MacKillop Place is a centre for education, spirituality, pilgrimage, and hospitality. Located in the bustling North Sydney precinct, MMP spans approximately seven blocks and comprises 13 buildings, including five of historical significance. These buildings currently host offices, dining spaces, auditorium & conference rooms, accommodation, a Café, Gift Shop, Museum, and Chapel.

Reporting to the Facilities and ICT Coordinator, the Maintenance/ Handyperson assist with the day-to-day maintenance of the buildings and plant equipment located at Mary MacKillop Place. The role ensures proper functioning, safety and longevity of various systems, plant equipment, buildings, and facilities onsite.

You will join a Facilities team of 4. From minor repairs to larger projects, you’ll have a range of tasks to showcase your expertise and make a difference.

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Proven experience as a maintenance /handyperson
• Strong knowledge of various repair and maintenance tasks
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently as well as in a team
• Necessary licenses and certifications (if applicable)
• Permanent work rights in Australia with no restrictions
