Damien Bruce (Calvary)

Calvary Health Care has announced the appointment of Damien Bruce as its national chief executive officer from September 1, following the retirement of current chief Martin Bowles.

Mr Bruce brings over two decades of leadership experience as a senior partner at McKinsey & Company, where he heads the health, social and public sector practice for Asia.

With a career spanning Europe, North America and Asia, Mr Bruce is a respected leader in the health and aged care sectors, known for his expertise in strategy and transformation.

Mr Bruce is passionate about improving access to quality health and aged care and has a long history supporting not-for-profits that support these values, including serving on the Board of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Victoria) since 2013.

Little Company of Mary Health Care chair Jim Birch welcomed the appointment.

“Damien’s extensive experience and capabilities transforming global health and aged care organisations make him an outstanding appointment to strategically lead Calvary’s future,” Mr Birch said.

“Martin’s inspiring leadership has guided Calvary through a period of significant change and challenge.

“His vision and unwavering commitment have been instrumental in transforming Calvary into a modern, responsive health care provider that meets the evolving needs of the communities we serve.

“His legacy lays a strong foundation for the future.”
