The National Liturgical Council and the Australian Pastoral Musicians Network are making the upcoming National Liturgy and Music Conference more accessible through their “Late Bird” ticket offer.
The Pilgrims of Hope: Transformed Through Sacrament and Song conference will be held from October 1-3 at the Hilton Hotel, Adelaide, bringing together parish musicians, liturgists, pastoral leaders, educators, and clergy from across Australia and beyond.
Chair of the APMN, Michael Mangan, said the initiative was designed to acknowledge the generosity and dedication of those who serve the Church.
“The majority of those involved in music and liturgy are volunteers who give their time and talent to the Church for little or no financial reward.
“As a ‘pilgrim church,’ it’s important for us to enable as many of these people as possible to come together and be supported and formed in their ministries and vocations.
“It’s for this reason that we’re holding a one-week sale with a $50 discount off all conference tickets.”
The Late Bird sale begins today and ends on August 28.
The conference will feature an outstanding lineup of international and national speakers, including:
- Rita Ferrone (US), author and liturgical scholar;
- Fr Ricky Manalo CSP (US), composer and theologian; and
- Fr Richard Leonard SJ (Australia), Jesuit priest, author, and speaker.
Participants will experience five keynote addresses, more than 50 workshops, liturgies, and networking opportunities designed to strengthen and celebrate the central role of liturgy and music in the life of the Church.
