Australian Catholic University has ranked number one nationwide for employer satisfaction, according to the latest Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching Employer Satisfaction Survey.
In a milestone achievement, 90.7 per cent of employers reported positive overall satisfaction with ACU graduates – the best result for any university in the country and the first time ACU has scored over 90 per cent.
ACU Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) Tania Broadley said the strong results reflected the university’s focus on mission and impact.
“To be the only university in Australia to achieve over 90 per cent employer satisfaction – and for the first time in ACU’s history – reflects the strength of our mission and our commitment to preparing students for purposeful and impactful careers,” Professor Broadley said.
“What makes this result especially meaningful is that it highlights the success of our students. Employers are telling us that ACU graduates bring the skills, values, and qualities that make a real difference in the workplace.
“It is a testament to our students’ efforts as well as the dedication of our staff who guide and support them.”
ACU also ranked in the top five universities nationwide for student experience at university, according to the Student Experience Survey results.
Professor Broadley said the results reflected a team effort across ACU to enhance the student experience across the university’s seven campuses in Australia, and in Rome.
“We’re really proud of these results, because they show that at ACU, students aren’t just a number, they feel seen, valued, and genuinely supported,” she said.
“When I speak with students, they talk about the sense of familiarity in their classes, how welcoming and approachable their tutors are, and how comfortable they feel asking questions and engaging in their learning.
“They also consistently highlight the exceptional quality of our teaching staff – the knowledge, wisdom, and personal care our lecturers bring to every interaction. That’s what makes the ACU experience distinctive, and why these results are so strong.”
ACU also ranked second in Australia for International undergraduate student satisfaction.
