The University of Notre Dame Australia will expand its footprint in Sydney through the acquisition of a 4000-square-metre lease at Mountain Street, Ultimo, on the university’s Broadway Campus.
This strategic acquisition adds 4000 square metres over three floors to support the university’s student growth and will be the new home for Notre Dame’s health sciences programs in Sydney.
The new facility at Mountain Street will deliver state-of-the-art facilities, including specialist labs, general teaching, gymnasium and student amenities.
It is in addition to the acquisition of 140 Myrtle Street, which is to become the new home for nursing and midwifery. The new facilities are undergoing major refurbishment and will be ready for Semester 1, paving the way for further expansion at the Darlinghurst Campus.
These strategic acquisitions support the university’s Sydney masterplan, which includes integrating the Blackfriars Precinct, acquired in 2024 from University of Technology Sydney, with plans to develop a new 6000-square-metre learning and teaching building on the site and broader campus integration.
This expansion aligns with Notre Dame’s Strategic Plan, reinforcing its mission to prepare graduates for diverse contexts, including rural and remote communities, First Nations engagement and addressing chronic workforce shortages.
