Bishop Manning died peacefully on July 15 in Bathurst, New South Wales, at the age of 90.
The Solemn Pontifical Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, August 2, at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Parramatta, at 11am. The funeral Mass will also be livestreamed on the Diocese of Parramatta’s YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/live/NsERC1RYFBI
On Thursday, August 1, a reception of the body and Vespers of the Dead will be held at St Patrick’s Cathedral at 6pm. The Vespers will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend: https://youtube.com/live/fJjn8IxitTs.
As seating in St Patrick’s Cathedral is limited, those who wish to attend Bishop Manning’s reception and vespers on August 1 or funeral on August 2 are being asked to register their attendance by visiting parracatholic.org/bishopmanning.
On Monday August 5, a Memorial Mass will be held at 11am for Bishop Manning ahead of his interment at Coolah cemetery, NSW.
