The Common Home TV Podcast – Questions for the Modern World delves into issues facing faith communities today, exploring how Catholics can live out faith in harmony with the environment and in solidarity with all people.

Each episode will feature a leading voice in theology, environmental science, social justice and community activism. Guests will share their stories, experiences and insights, challenging listeners to consider new perspectives and take meaningful action while growing in faith.

From the wisdom of Pope Francis to the grassroots efforts making a difference in local communities, we uncover the connections between faith, ecology, and the common good.

Redemptorist Fr Bruce Duncan, a specialist in Catholic Social Teaching, said the podcast comes at a time when the world is struggling.

“Today our world is struggling. Many flee as refugees from war or violence, or from the destructive effects of climate change; while at home we search for solutions to problems like poverty, prejudice and insecure housing,” Fr Duncan said.

“What difference does faith make in all this? Faith rouses our sense of meaning and motivation in efforts to promote the wellbeing of others, especially those in need, as Jesus urged us.

“These themes and more are explored on the Common Home TV podcast.”

The inaugural episode features Felix Corley, a religious rights activist, journalist and editor at Forum 18, an organisation dedicated to documenting and advocating for religious freedom in Central Asia, Russia, Russian-occupied Ukraine, government-held Ukraine, Belarus, and the South Caucasus, particularly Azerbaijan.
