The Australian Catholic Bishops Conference has announced the release of the latest edition of the Official Directory of the Catholic Church in Australia. Source: ACBC Media Blog.
The directory is the authoritative resource for clergy, parishioners, researchers, and anyone interested in the Catholic Church’s activities and organisation across Australia.
Published annually since 1841, it provides contact information on dioceses, parishes, clergy, and various Catholic organisations, making it an essential reference for anyone involved in the Church’s mission and activities.
“The directory is an essential guide to the life and structure of the Catholic Church across the nation,” Archbishop Patrick O’Regan, Bishops’ Delegate for Media, said.
“It offers a comprehensive listing of dioceses, parishes, clergy, religious congregations, Catholic agencies, educational institutions, and ministries that serve the mission of the Church in Australia.
“Grounded in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the rich tradition of the Church, this directory is more than a reference – it is a witness to the living faith of a pilgrim people.
“It reflects the diverse ways in which the Catholic community engages in worship, education, pastoral care, social service, and evangelisation across urban centres, regional towns, and remote areas.”
The directory is available in print and digital formats.
The regularly updated digital version includes interactive features that allow for easy searching.
The print and online versions can be ordered through the St Pauls Publications website or by calling 02 9394 3400. Email enquiries may be directed to [email protected]
