The spotlight falls not only on the five sets of twins entering Year 12, but also on the 14 additional sets of twins across Year 7 to Year 11 in 2026.

Year 12 twin Katie said the experience of sharing secondary school with a twin has been unforgettable.

“It was nice always having someone there who understood me and had my back,” she said.

Principal Samuel Anderson said the twins added a special dimension to student life.

“What better way to begin the school year than side by side,” he said.

“Secondary school is an important chapter for all children, and having the opportunity to walk that journey with a twin is a gift.”

While twins may share a bond, each brought their own talents and goals, Mr Anderson said.

“Together they share the same journey, yet each carries unique dreams, aspirations, and strengths.”

Katie adds that while they share many things with their twin, their futures will be shaped by distinct passions.

“We’ve both got our own goals and interests,” she said.

“I’m really focused on my career as a heavy diesel mechanic and love the hands-on work.

“My sister’s got different interests and a different career path, but we fully support each other.

“We’re both motivated to do well and build lives we’re happy with, even if we’re heading in different directions.”

Mr Anderson said the college was proud to nurture the diverse gifts of all 19 pairs of twins.

“Their unique talents and spirits will serve them well as they become leaders, dreamers, and changemakers, each destined to make their own unique impact in our world.”
