The Memorandum of Understanding between the universities was signed on Monday (UNDA)

The University of Notre Dame Australia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Catholic University of Croatia which will open up opportunities for staff and student exchange, research collaboration and joint events.

The universities launched a new phase in their partnership with the signing of the MOU at Notre Dame’s Sydney campus on Monday.

The five-year agreement promises to facilitate close co-operation in education, research, exchange and development.

Notre Dame and the Catholic University of Croatia will together apply for funding for the European Union’s international exchange program Erasmus+.

This funding would facilitate study abroad opportunities for staff and students in the disciplines of Theology, Nursing, Psychology and Arts (History).

Other areas of collaboration that may be explored include joint research projects, summer school programs, events, study tours, seminars, conferences and academic meetings.

Notre Dame’s Vice Chancellor, Francis Campbell, said the MOU sets the stage for a new era of collaboration with the Catholic University of Croatia.

“Notre Dame and the Catholic University of Croatia share a distinct Catholic identity and a strong desire to deliver an enriched experience for students, staff and academics,” Professor Campbell said.

“This international partnership demonstrates our commitment to using our networks to provide every possible opportunity the world has to offer to our university community.”
