Catholic liberal arts college Campion College is holding its inaugural festival, a student-driven event aimed at raising money for the Campion College Scholarship Fund.
To be held on October 28, visitors to Campion, in Toongabbie in Sydney’s west, will have the chance to explore the picturesque grounds, including the college’s new Academic Centre and The Gina Rinehart Library. Guided campus tours will be available throughout the day, offering guests a firsthand look at its new facilities.
The festival will include traditional attractions like food trucks, children’s rides, and fete stalls, as well as face painting, raffles and a petting zoo. For those eager to engage intellectually, liberal arts talks will showcase the depth and breadth of knowledge that Campion College offers.
An event highlight will be the second-hand book sale. This collection of books will encompass a wide range of disciplines, including history, literature, philosophy and theology.
All proceeds from the festival will benefit the Campion College Scholarship Fund, which helps to support deserving tertiary students to access the unique program of liberal arts education on offer at Campion College.
“We are thrilled to invite the community to join us for a day of fun, exploration, and fundraising,” Campion College president Paul Morrissey said.
“The festival is a wonderful opportunity for families and individuals to come together, enjoy various activities, and contribute to a cause that empowers aspiring students,” Dr Morrissey said.
