
Stuart Rodney has been appointed to lead Centacare Brisbane after executive director Peter Selwood announced his retirement after more than 30 years of service. Source: The Catholic Leader.
Mr Rodney will return to Queensland with his family to begins his role in mid-August.
Brisbane Archdiocese Vicar General Fr Peter Dillon said Mr Rodney brought more than 25 years’ experience leading organisations across a range of sectors, including more than a decade in health, aged care, disability, homelessness and human services.
“His exceptional leadership experience, clear personal alignment with Centacare’s mission, values and commitment to walk alongside those who need us most, secured his appointment,” Fr Dillon said.
“Stuart is a calm, confident, and collaborative leader who prides himself on building capable management teams and ensuring robust governance.
“He will be an active leader and brings a strong commercial mindset.”
Mr Rodney is chief executive officer of the Mayflower Group in Melbourne, where he has led a major organisational transformation.
He has positioned the organisation as a high-performing and financially sustainable not-for-profit focused on client care.
Fr Dillon thanked Mr Selwood for his “enduring leadership and service”.
“Peter’s deep commitment to our mission and the people we serve has shaped the heart of Centacare,” he said.
