The band – made up of Penola Catholic College Broadmeadows Year 12 students Siala Maelasi, Alannah Gouvas, Kelly Godfrey and 2022 graduate Jordan Gioskos – has been described as the freshest act to hit the Australian Christian music scene in years.
Their debut single, Footsteps, spent 20 weeks in the Top 30 of the Today’s Christian Music charts, aired on several major radio stations and gained over 6500 plays on YouTube.
This uplifting song reminds listeners of the powerful roadmap for discipleship created by role models, and its catchy lyrics “touch the heart and move the soul”.
The success of Footsteps has been followed by M22’s latest single, All I need, which gained more than 2500 YouTube views within a week of its launch.
The band first began writing and performing for their local community in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, and has quickly gained the attention of national audiences and critics.
Inspired by Christian artists such as United, for KING & COUNTRY and Matt Maher, M22 spreads a message of hope and positivity with the vibrancy of youth.
