A new chapter has begun for the former Spirituality Ministry of the Sisters of Saint Joseph, with a new name and a new brand identity designed to honour the legacy of St Mary MacKillop and meet the spirituality needs of today’s world.
The newly named Mary MacKillop Spirituality Ministry operates seven spirituality and heritage centres, spread across five states, bringing them together as a single entity under the leadership of the Spirituality Ministry Board and its chief executive, Xavier Crimmins.
“Rooted in unity, purpose, and spiritual growth, seven centres have come together in a whole of ministry approach under one new name, united by a shared mission and vision to make a lasting impact towards deeper connection and to fulfil our purpose of inviting all to encounter the Sacred,” Mr Crimmins said.
“This exciting transformation reflects the ministry’s commitment to providing inclusive and inspiring spaces for spirituality programs, reflections, museums, conferences, meeting and accommodation facilities in response to emerging contemporary needs.”
For over 40 years, the Spirituality Ministry of the Sisters of Saint Joseph have offered spaces for quiet contemplation, professional development, and spiritual growth.
The refreshed brand introduces a modern identity, emphasising relevance and inclusivity while staying rooted in the mission of nurturing hope and flourishing life.
“Our renewed vision is to create spaces where individuals and groups can disconnect from daily distractions and reconnect with their purpose”, Mr Crimmins said, adding, “this brand launch celebrates our heritage and extends an open invitation to everyone seeking nurturing spiritual experiences”.
The new name and brand were revealed at an event at the Mary MacKillop Spirituality Centre in Sydney’s Baulkham Hills, where attendees experienced the purpose, mission, vision and values which the ministry has adopted to step confidently into this new chapter.
